Tired of losing and getting replacement keys? Try these tricks provided by Andrew at the Maldon Locksmith and you may never have to deal with both!
Make Them Noticeable
You can try sticking a glow-in-the-dark mod podge in your keys or use large keychains for them. This way you can easily feel them at the bottom of your purse or spot in the middle of your messy bedroom. The glow-in-the-dark ones are even great when its dark out and you dropped your keys accidentally in the garage or your lawn.
Use A Lanyard
If you are really that forgetful, you might wanna use a lanyard to attach the keys and wear around your neck. You’ll surely know where your keys are all the time since your neck is literally carrying them. It may not be a good idea if you have a lot of keys to keep track on though.
Get A Keybox
One great idea is to put a key box beside your door. Make sure to put your keys in there once you walk in and not later after you took off your shoes or after you get undress, because putting it off is a sure fire way to misplace them again.
Set A Specific Place For Your Keys
This more like having a key box too. But if you’re not a fan of key boxes, you can simply set a specific drop point for your keys and stick to it. Like that bowl with a huge candle on top of the table beside the door. Drop your keys there all the time so that you know where to look when you need them.
Go For The Magnet
If you like double purpose things, why not hide a magnet behind the light switch plate? When we go out or go inside the house we always turn off/in the light right, we seem to not forget that because the switch have always been in that place. So if you also make use of the switch place as a key holder you’ll never lose your keys again! Plus you get in and out of the house faster because you get to switch on/off the lights and drop the keys in one movement.
